Where is my unsaved text?
Edited files save as you pause. Untitled drafts and anything that could not be saved are kept by the app and come back with your tabs the next time you open it, even after a crash.
Why does it ask me to allow a folder?
Mac App Store apps may only touch the files you open. To follow a link to another note, or to save a dropped image next to your file, the app asks once for that folder and remembers your answer.
Quick Look does not show my Markdown rendered
Open Redshift Code Editor once after installing it, then check that its Quick Look extension is turned on in System Settings, under Login Items & Extensions.
What does it send over the network?
Nothing you write leaves your Mac. The app collects no data and has no account. Its only network requests are the coding fonts you choose to download, straight from their public releases.
