Everything you need to get the most out of Redshift

Prerequisites

Before using Redshift, make sure you have the following set up on your Mac.

Steps:

  1. 1    Install Claude Code CLI: npm install -g @anthropic-ai/claude-code
  2. 2    Sign in to Claude Code via the terminal: claude
  3. 3    Make sure you have an active Claude subscription (Pro, Team, or Enterprise)
  4. 4    macOS 15.0 (Sequoia) or later required

Installation

Download and install Redshift on your Mac.

Steps:

  1. 1    Download Redshift from the website
  2. 2    Double-click the downloaded .dmg file
  3. 3    Drag Redshift to the Applications folder
  4. 4    Start the app from the Applications folder

First Launch

Open Redshift and point it at any project folder to get started.

Steps:

  1. 1    Launch Redshift from Applications
  2. 2    Select a project folder or open a git repository
  3. 3    The chat panel opens automatically — start talking to Claude

Tips:

  • Redshift detects your Claude Code installation automatically
  • Switch between repositories from the sidebar dropdown
  • Your sessions are saved automatically and can be resumed anytime
